The 2024 Baby Bottle project will start on Mother’s Day, (May 12th) and end on Father’s Day, (June 18th). The baby bottles will be handed out on May 14th and then we ask that you bring them back to church on June 16th hopefully full of coins, bills and checks. The money that we receive will be used to support pro-life education efforts as well as help the Life Care Pregnancy Resources Center in Ottawa and the Pregnancy Resource Center for S.E. Kansas in Iola. If you desire to write a check, you may write it to Kansans for Life.
Thanks for helping with this very worthy cause. If you’d like more information about KFL, look on their website – www.kfl.org. In Christ’s Love, Mary Hamilton |

"Christian Woodworkers" Workshops
In 2014 Darwin Hamilton started a woodworking group that meets twice a week, Mondays from 8:30am – 11:30am and Wednesdays from 1:30pm – 4:30pm, in Darwin’s Woodshop. The mission and goal of this group is to make woodcut items to be donated to Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City. The woodcuts are given to the children for them to use as craft projects for them to decorate and enjoy. CMH staff tells Darwin that the children really love and appreciate them very much. Since 2014, the group has made and donated over 23,000 items.
Darwin is always looking for others to join him in this worthy cause. You don’t have to be a woodworker to be part of the group. There is tracing and hand sanding to do that just takes time and patience. If you would like to join either group, please call Darwin at 785-448-4678.
